Come join our Club!
Friends Together offers wraparound care for your child at St. Dominic School between the hours of 7.50am and 6.00pm, through the provision of a Breakfast Club and After School Club. The club currently caters for children in all years, from Nursery upwards. We are based in the dining room and link room of the school with access to the school hall and a large outdoor playground area.
The most important thing at Friends Together is that every child is safe, secure, happy and ultimately has FUN and since 2005 we have strived to do this each day!
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club provides care for children before the start of their school day. Once registered and booked in, you can leave your child(ren) with us from 7.50 am until the school day begins. Children will be given the choice of foods from our breakfast menu, including toast and various spreads, a range of healthy cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts. After they have eaten they can play to their hearts' content with a huge selection of toys, board games and arts and crafts.
After School Club
Our club is for working parents, parents who study, those parents that need to take a well-earned break or those who want to send their child on a giant playdate! Once registered and booked in, you can leave your child(ren) with us from the end of school until either 5pm or 6pm.
Activities and sessions are always varied so that the children will always be entertained. The club offers a wide range of toys for both indoors and out, including sports equipment, extensive arts and crafts, puzzles, construction, board games and themed toys such as dinosaurs, animals, babies and cars. We have a quiet area for reading and relaxing and for special occasions we have a Nintendo Wii with a selection of games. We promote team building through different fun activities, and promote sport both indoor and outside. This includes football, dodge ball, rounders, tennis, badminton, dance, gymnastics and basket/netball.
Each afternoon we have a snack, including bread and crackers with various spreads, fresh fruit and a biscuit. Fresh drinking water and fruit are available throughout the session.

We accept all childcare vouchers/Bacs payments/cheque and cash on a half-termly basis.
Pre-School
Nursery Class will be able to join Friends Together for the afternoon (12.30-3.30pm) and have the opportunity to join our Breakfast and After School Club.
Through play, exploration, activities and quality outside time we will promote children’s development and learning. We will ensure children continue to achieve in all seven areas of the EYFS, complimenting the weekly topics and themes of Nursery. Sessions will be planned according to a child’s needs and wants with each child being treated as an individual and celebrated for their unique qualities. We will work in partnership with parents and the nursery teachers to help each child reach their full potential.
High expectations of the children and what they can achieve will help us to work hard to ensure each child in our care will thrive, have fun and be happy!
A typical afternoon
12.30pm- Outside play
1pm- Story time with quiet time activities such as jigsaws and puzzles
1.30pm- Free play
2.15pm- Fruit snack and song time
2.30pm- Arts and crafts
3pm- Games and group activities such as parachute games
3.30pm- Home time or After School Club!

Afternoon sessions -12.30-3.30pm
There is a cost of £7 (payable to school) to cover the supervision of the parent supplied packed lunch to link morning to afternoon care from 11.45 to 12.30pm
Those not eligible for the 30 free hours- £22.50 (Sessions must be booked in a weekly pattern for a half term block)
